The Opportunity

Employment Type: Permanent Full Time   1 FTE 
Hours of Work:08:00-16:00, Monday to Friday (Flexibility Required) 
Wages:Wage will be commensurate with education and experience. A relocation allowance may be considered for candidates who qualify.

As the Care Manager, you will provide leadership to the interdisciplinary care team on your unit. You will promote a positive, quality-focused culture that embraces the GSS values of Servant Leadership, Healthy Relationships, and Hospitable Environments. Additional accountabilities include maintaining standards of care, quality improvement and risk management, managing an annual budget and policy/process reviews. Human Resources responsibilities include hiring and coaching staff and participating in employee health and safety processes. 
You are a respected professional who is quality driven and possesses superb problem-solving and communication skills. You are an innovator who is approachable with a strong participative management style, able to work with an interdisciplinary team and able to motivate and coach staff. You have a minimum of three (3) years progressive experience in administration and management. A  recognized Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing and active registration with BCCNM.  Geriatric experience and CPR Level C are required and a Gerontological Nursing Certificate is preferred. The successful candidate will have exceptional computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, HRMIS and online charting platforms.
